Biographical Note

Pi Lambda Phi was founded in 1895 with the purpose of eliminating undue prejudice and sectarianism in American colleges. Merging with Phi Beta Delta Fraternity on December 22, 1940, Pi Lambda Phi has retained its original name but now encompasses both fraternities with headquarters located in New York City.
