Scope and Content Note
Collection consists of microfilm and bound photocopies of all insolvent debtors cases, now deposited in the Hall of Records, New York City, in which Jews or Jewish-sounding names appear, arranged alphabetically.
Included are public notices, lists of debts and assets of each debtor, and the disposition of each case. The entire collection has been indexed by last name.

The collection is open to all researchers, except items that may be restricted due to their fragility, or privacy. Do note, however, that this collection is only available via microfilm.
