This collection contains a printed copy of a proposal in Hebrew and English, dated 1824 from Solomon Herschell, The Chief Rabbi of England, to form the Hebra Tarumot Hakodesh; a printed extract of the constitution and a report of the activities of the Society published in New York in 1846; a printed request for assistance from the Sephardic Chief Rabbi of Palestine, Hayyim Abraham Gagin; and manuscript letters in Hebrew and English from Palestine acknowledging receipt of funds. I.B. Kursheedt was the President of the Society in America.
