Biographical Note

Isaac Franks was a member of the Franks family born in New York City. He joined the American Revolution at the age of seventeen and by 1784, he was a colonel. George Washington resided at his residence in Germantown on the outskirts of Philadelphia during a yellow fever epidemic.
