Subseries A: Subject Files and Photographs, undated, 1941-2005
Scope and Contents
Subseries A: Subject Files and Photographs is arranged in alphabetical order by type of material and then chronologically as necessary. Subseries A contains subject files and photographs related to the various American Jewish Congress events, dinners, fundraising, activities, and speeches, including Women's Division events, Stephen Wise Award Dinners, press coverage and releases, national conventions, White Rose Foundation events, and the Middle East peace process. To reduce the number of series in the finding aid, Subseries A combines two former series from the 2006 box and folder listing, Series XVII: Cables and Telegrams (see Box 155, Folders 1-9) and Series XX: Reprints, Promotional Materials, Invitations (see Box 197, Folders 1-6 and Box 198, Folders 1-4).
As part of the National Endowment for the Humanities funded project, 276 photographs and two brochures were selected for digitization. The digitized images are available for viewing by clicking on the titles of the photographs listed in this series. Each of the digitized photographs is also available through the Center for Jewish History Digital Collections, found at access.cjh.org.
An additional 47 items including photographs, brochures, and ephemera were digitized as part of the National Historical Publications and Records Commission funded project and can be viewed as described above.
