This collection contains vital and personal papers (citizenship, birth, death, marriage, immunization, genealogical records) for members of the Marcussohn, Kraft, Fraenkel, Loewenstein, Langerdorf and Benda families from the late 19th to the 20th centuries. Prominently represented in the collection are documents from the professional and personal activities of Berlin attorney Bernhard Kraft, who practiced in the late 19th and early 20th century. He also wrote travel articles for the newspaper Für Reise und Wanderung, several editions of which are in the collection (all from 1913). There is a 264 page binder of typewritten letter transcripts written from WWI soldier Fritz J. Langendorff to his wife Margot Kraft (daughter of Bernhard and Alice Kraft). Oversized documents in this collection include printed artwork of baby and family, synagogue seating agreement (Löbau, 1869), and honorary book from Vorstand des Vereins Ehemaliger Lehrlingsheimer for donor and patron Joseph Fraenkel on occasion of his 75th birthday (1903).
