Contains the personal papers, including correspondence and documents, of Elijah Etting, his sons, Solomon and Reuben, and his three grandchildren, Samuel Etting, Kitty (Etting) Cohen, and Elijah Gratz Etting (frequently referred to as Gratz Etting).

This collection contains original manuscripts of Haym Salomon, one of the main financiers of the American Revolutionary War, including his marriage contract, financial records, personal and business correspondence, and items related to his own estate, as well as the estates of his family and business associates. The collection also contains a family record kept by Salomon's son, bilingual Hebrew-English family bibles and prayer books, and items of Haym Salomon's wife, Rachel, as well as other family members.

This collection holds documents, correspondence and some visual material related to Henry (Heinrich Otto) Berolzheimer and his family. Prominent issues are the real estate business and genealogy. The papers in this collection form a heterogeneous corpus of official and legal papers as well as personal and genealogical correspondence.

Contains items from the following members of the Solomon family: 1) Israel J. Solomon, two letters written in December, 1881, to his son, Lionel Solomon, in Singapore, on business matters; 2) the inventory of the estate of Raphael Solomon, made in 1877, the administrator of which was Lionel Solomon.

This Collection contains personal papers, correspondence, and other material relating to the Phillips family, 1733-1954. The majority of the materials are in regard to the following family members: Jonas Phillips (1733-1802), Naphtali Phillips (1815-1868), Joseph Phillips (1811), Rebecca Hart Phillips (1812), Joshua Phillips (1852-1858), Isaac Phillips (1830-1884), Roslie Solomons Phillips (1872-1945), Naphtali Taylor Phillips (1895-1954).

Notable objects in this collection include Jonas Phillips' copy of a book on the laws and practice of shehita, printed in Wandsbeck, Germany, in 1733; Naphtali Phillips' letters regarding Congregation Shearith Israel; Isaac Phillips' correspondence relating to his position as Appraiser of Merchandise for the Port of New York; Roslie Solomons Phillips' letters from Eleanor Roosevelt; and Naphtali Taylor Phillips' correspondence relating to Congregation Shearith Israel, the Touro Synagogue, the Federation of American Zionists, the National Conference of Jewish Charities (Committee on Palestinian Charities), and Adolphus S. Solomons. Collection also contains published Masonic materials, political memorabilia, and a letter from George Mifflin Dallas to an unidentified member of the Phillips family, 1856.

The bulk of the collection contains letters to Harry Rimalower in Argentina from his parents and other family members in Leipzig, Germany, (1936-1940). Included in the letters are updates on family members and friends in Germany, discussion of the ever-worsening situation there, and discussion of efforts to facilitate the emigration of Harry Rimalower's parents from Germany. English-language translations of several letters are included. Also included is a brief history of the Eppstein family of Mannheim and a family tree of the Bernhard Solomon family from the 17th century to 1937, with birth and death dates and locations.
