Blumenthal family

Consists of an extensive family tree, originating with Samuel Bluthenthal (formerly Sandel Feis), who was born in Munchweiler, Germany in 1762 and his wife Marianna David (formerly Jachet David) who was born in Lorsch, Germany in 1768.

The bulk of the collection (photocopies only) consists of Fritz Blumenthal’s poems: handwritten German poems, ca. 1929 – 1934; and typed English poems, ca. 1979 – 1987. Also included are genealogical materials – correspondence, notes, family trees – for the families Feibelmann and Wolff, as well as biographical materials about Fritz Blumenthal.

The bulk of the collection consists of published materials from the 1980s describing the former Jewish community in Krefeld and its fate during the Holocaust. Also included are genealogical tables of the extended Neuberg family.

Manuscripts on this history of the Jewish community in Mühlhausen and a few other localities near Bamberg. Several of the manuscripts contain reproductions and transcriptions of original documents.

This collection consists of materials pertaining to Paul Muehsam (1876-1960) and the research of Else Levi-Muehsam (1910-2004), Paul Muehsam's daughter, on her family history.
