This collection contains legal documents, correspondence, certificates, and photographs of Dr. Alfred Cohn, 1890-1965.

Various documents pertaining to Alfred Philipp’s work as a community rabbi and a scholar, primarily his doctoral thesis about Werner Sombart’s work ´Die Juden und das Wirtschaftsleben´ (“Jews and the economy”).

The collection contains documents pertaining to chemist Bernhard Proskauer (1851-1915), his son physician Arthur Proskauer (1880-1960); and his maternal grandfather Gottschalk Rosenberg.

The Felix Pinkus Family Collection documents the professional and personal lives of the dermatologist Felix Pinkus and his son Hermann Pinkus, and of other members of their family to a smaller extent. Prominent subjects include their work in dermatology, their artistic interests, Felix Pinkus's travels, and the family in general. This collection comprises a diverse array of formats. Text-based items include correspondence, unpublished writings, notes and research, newspaper clippings and journal articles, educational and professional certificates and documentation, official documents and various kinds of memorabilia. Visual media include photographs, photograph albums, small sketches, drawings and paintings and various types of scrapbooks.

The collection contains documents of Gustav Wendel and his family, including documents pertaining to Wendel's service as a physician in the German army; family documents, such as birth, marriage, and citizenship certificates, family history, and correspondence; and documents pertaining to Wendel's medical training. Also included is a letter to Wendel from Lion Feuchtwanger.

This collection primarily chronicles the time Harry J. Marks, later a professor of history, spent as a graduate student in Germany during the early 1930s. It also includes description of earlier travel and some later correspondence in addition to biographical information and genealogical research. The collection consists primarily of the diaries and correspondence of Harry J. Marks but also includes some letters sent to him, budgeting notes, and family trees of the Hirschbach family.

The collection contains items pertaining to the life and work of lawyer Isidor Choyke, particularly items documenting his legal career. The collecion also contains some family documents, including birth, vaccination, and school certificates.

The collection holds materials pertaining to the physician and musician Kurt Singer, including some of his musical writings; reviews of his books; correspondence, including letters from Max Friedlaender, Wilhelm Furtwaengler, and Siegfried Ochs, and others. Also included are papers of Kurt Singer’s father, the Hungarian-born Moritz Singer, who served as rabbi in Koblenz, including letters from Helmuth von Moltke and Duke Friedrich I of Baden; and documents from his studies at the universities of Berlin and Jena, including a thesis, as well as academic reports signed by Moritz Lazarus, Heymann Steinthal, and Theodor Mommsen.

The collection contains various documents pertaining to Peter Freund and his activity as a rabbi, scholar, and writer.

The collection contains the dissertation and doctoral certificate of Robert Freund; birth certificate of Hanno Freund; and citizen certificate of Theodor Freund.
