The Gombossy family of Ohio consisted of Max Gombossy (1851/1853-1927) and his wife Fanny (1862-1948) both of whom emigrated from Hungary. Max emigrated in 1873 and Fanny in 1879. They had two children, Julius (1887-1971) and Morris (1885-1958). Julius married Gertrude and had three daughters Rosanne (1917), Celia later became Schenkel (1915) and Harriet (Taffy) later became Epstein (1921-2013). Morris married Clara and had one son, Raymond.
